Please provide a brief introduction to yourself and the company you work for

I’m Andy Oddie, Funko’s Chief Commercial Officer. We are a pop culture collectibles company with one of the largest license portfolios in the world .

What is your favourite part about working in the toy industry?

I love the challenges of working within this dynamic and fast-paced industry. Trends develop, fall off and get reinvented, meaning no two years are ever the same. We partner with almost all of the relevant IP owners so there is always something new to think about or design a plan for.

Give us the inside scoop, what products are you launching at Toy Fair 2024?

We’re expanding our hit 2023 launch, Bitty Pop!, with some new Bitty executions giving collectors the chance to house their favourite Bitty Pop! in unique and license-specific displays. We’re also growing our Loungefly brand with expansions into the pet and stationery categories!

What trends do you predict for the Toy industry in 2024?

Miniature collectibles have shown tremendous growth and staying power over the last few years and we expect to see that remain a staple of the industry going forward. We are excited to continue to bring our iconic Pop! Vinyl products and licenses to collectors as Bitty Pop!

How many years have you exhibited at Toy Fair? Any favourite memories?

While I’ve personally been exhibiting for 25 years now, this is the 6th year that Funko has exhibited at London Toy Fair. We first exhibited in 2018 and haven’t missed a year since.

What is your favourite toy?

I must go with our original and most iconic – Funko Pop! We have something for everyone and this product brings endless joy to our fans worldwide.

What top tip would you give to a fellow exhibitor or visitor attending their first Toy Fair?

The days are so filled with activity it can be easy to lose sight of the goals. Make sure you’re entering with a set of objectives you want to achieve…and walk the entire show yourself too.
