Introduction: 

My name is Sam Lockey and I am the Sales Director for The Puppet Company and Wilberry Toys.

What is your favourite part about working in the toy industry?

My favourite part is knowing that our products bring joy to children’s and adults lives. We get so many amazing comments, lots of pictures sent through and testimonials saying, and showing the beauty our products bring.

Give us the inside scoop, what products are you launching at Toy Fair 2025?

We are very excited to be launching My First Eco Puppet Dinos, as well as new additions to the Eco Sockettes range. We are also set to launch Micro Monsters, Large Creature Snakes and Reptile Finger Puppets.

What trends do you predict for the Toy Fair industry in 2025?

It’s a tricky one to say, but I am sure licensed products will continue to have a strong share in the market, with our Elmer and Paddington Puppets having their fair share. 

How many years have you exhibited at Toy Fair? Any favourite memories?

This is our second year in recent times but we have been coming to the Toy Fair for 10 years over all. Meeting and executing deals with new and existing customers and showing new product, has been one of my favourite memories overall. 

What is your favourite toy?

I think our Large Primate Chimp Puppet is my favourite Toy. It’s extremely animated with fantastic functions to really bring it to life.

What’s your favourite Toy craze, past or present?

So I’m talking about 30+ years ago… but anything to do with The Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles, Ghost Busters and Star Wars.

What top tip would you give to a fellow exhibitor or visitor attending their first Toy Fair?

Toy Fair is a really busy show so planning your time is crucial. Meetings do overrun, so I would suggest making as many appointments as you can and plan where you want to go.
