Industry showcase sells out 22,000m² of exhibitor floor space, months ahead of much-anticipated show
17 October 2019: The British Toy and Hobby Association [BTHA] today announced that exhibition space at Toy Fair 2020 has now completely sold out. The 67th Toy Fair takes place from Tuesday 21st – Thursday 23rd January 2020 at Olympia, London.
“We’re delighted to announce that Toy Fair has once again sold out with months to go before we open our doors,” said Majen Immink, Director of Fairs and Special Events. “This wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of the UK toy industry, who I’m sure will make next year’s Toy Fair one to remember.”
Toy Fair 2020 will host more than 260 exhibiting companies, launching thousands of new toy lines across 22,000m² of floor space.
The lineup of exhibitors includes LEGO, Hasbro, Bandai, Character Options, Funko, Orchard Toys, Vivid Toy Group, Roma, Wicked Vision Ltd, Halilit and Brainstorm Ltd.
“Toy Fair is our favourite show not only in terms of business written but also because the atmosphere is always so fantastic!”, said Debra Tiffany, Marketing Manager at Brainstorm Ltd. “It’s great to catch up with familiar faces within the toy industry with everyone under one roof. We make new valuable contacts year in, year out and the organisers are always accessible and on hand to help us maximise opportunities throughout the show.”
As well as the many renowned returnees to the show, there will also be 40 new companies exhibiting at Toy Fair for the very first time. These debuting exhibitors include DISQUALIFIED!, Ann Williams Group and Wild & Wolf and their brands Ridley’s Games and Petit Collage.
“This is the first Toy Fair for Wild & Wolf and also personally for myself, so I’m very much looking forward to my first London Toy Fair!” said Joelle Engolia, Senior Marketing Executive at Wild and Wolf, “This is a huge step for us to showcase Ridley’s Games and Petit Collage to key buyers in the toy and games market, so I’m most excited to share our incredible new SS20 and AW20 collections with them.”
For the first time ever, Toy Fair will be hosting an Influencer Day to support the ever-growing number of content creators – from YouTube stars to bloggers – that attend the show. Taking place on Wednesday 22nd January, the Influencer Day will include exhibitor tours and new scheduled events for attendees.
“As the media landscape continues to change its important that Toy Fair reflects that change. Our goal is to offer exhibitors ways to connect with new creators and audiences,” explained Majen Immink. “Our brand-new Influencer Day will highlight the important relationship between exhibitors and the many YouTubers, Instagram stars and bloggers that attend Toy Fair each year.”
Press Day will once again take place on the opening day of the show, with attending journalists set-up in the press office, which will now be located in Upper West. The press office has been moved alongside the Demo Zone in stands 320 and 312 to create a new media hub.
Registration is now open for Toy Fair 2020 at www.toyfair.co.uk.
To make reapplying easy, industry attendees from any of the past three Toy Fairs will receive a Smart Link to their existing profile, so need only check, update and submit their details to receive their 2020 show ticket. Visitors who choose not to pre-register or confirm their Smart Link will be required to prove they are a genuine trade visitor and pay a £15 entry fee on the door. Please note that there is a new policy in place for media passes this year, so reapplying is not automatic.
